Welcome to Elle Tea Reads in 2019!

Say hello to a long overdo post! April is almost over and here I am just getting to sharing my March Reads. I loved all my March reads – it’s like each month keeps getting better. There were a lot of non-fiction and inspirational reads and so many more coming up as well.

A sampling of recent reads.

As a reminder, I’ve set a handful of reading goals or ideals for the year:

  • Read at least 130 books
  • Catch up on all the books I’ve borrowed (that’s about 30) that are not from the library but from friends
  • Catch up on all Early Reviewer/Book of the Month Selections (about 10)
  • Knock a chuck out of my owned by haven’t read stack (710 as of 1.2.19)
  • Read at least 1 inspirational/motivational book a month
  • Read at least 1 book from the 1,000 Books You Must Read Before You Die list (I think I need 30 a year to maybe even get close to completing the list before I die)

In essence, I would love each month to be comprised of 1/3 from my shelf, 1/3 from borrowed books, and 1/3 struck by fancy.

Anyway, without further ado, here’s my delayed quick reading recap for March:

TOTAL BORROWED (not from the library) BOOKS: 2

TOTAL 1,001 BOOKS: 1

TOP FICTION READRosie Revere, Engineer

TOP NON-FICTION READ: TIE – We Were the Lucky Ones and Era of Ignition

I’m going to start including which books meet my reading goals each month. For example, “on the shelf” is a book that I have owned for awhile and have yet to read, “1,001 book” is from the original list of 1,001 Books You Must Read Before You Die, “borrowed” and “inspirational” and self explanatory.

  1. The Library Book by Susan Orlean
  2. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert Pirsig (on the shelf)
  3. Seriously … I’m Kidding by Ellen Degeneres
  4. The Leopard by Jo Nesbo (borrowed)
  5. Bullseye by James Patterson
  6. NYPD Red 4 by James Patterson
  7. We Were the Lucky Ones by Georgia Hunter
  8. Wicked Charms by Janet Evanovich
  9. Climb Your Own Ladder by Dana Malstaff
  10. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey (1,001 Book)
  11. The Good Neighbor by Maxwell King
  12. Era of Ignition by Amber Tamblyn
  13. Finding God in the Waves by Mike McHargue (inspirational)
  14. Rose Revere, Engineer by Andrea Beaty (inspirational)

What are you reading? What should I add to my list? Can’t wait to share April will you soon!

 Until next time.
