The great thing about Bucket Lists are that we have the choice to change, cancel, add, or whatever we so please with the list. And the more we thing about Bucket Lists, the more we realize how the world is full of things we want to accomplish, join in, do, etc.

So in March, I wasn’t thinking about November, until it got closer and I realized it was the perfect opportunity to participate from start to finish in National Novel Writing Month!

This past summer I came up with an idea for a new book – a great heroine who is just as real as we are, maybe a little of myself, someone with dreams and goals and values that she is willing to sacrifice anything for just to be happy.

With only an idea, I spend pretty much every day writing around 1,600 words to create a book that I plan to submit for publishing in the near future. It was a lot harder than I imagined – who knew typing 215 pages on a typewriter would be such an finger exercise. And made me greatly appreciate this computer I currently type on that will correct all my misspellings.

Now it’s time to start Draft #2 … and I’m looking forward to what I might come up with in 2015 for NaNoWriMo!
