There is a reason why you should keep up a daily blog or journal when traveling … Eventually the days start blending together.
Tuesday was a star power morning and a lot of fun.
We got up really early (3amish in Boise) and rallied to head to the Today Show. It did not disappoint.
With Al Roker
The whole crew talking with Nick Cannon (aka Mariah Carey’s husband).
Then it was onto the free city ferry tour with a visit to lady liberty. If my memory was better, I would have remembered that the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are still closed after Hurricane Sandy and won’t be open for a couple more months.
Brooklyn Bridge with a view of One World Trade Center.
Liberty Island and the fabulous lady.
Wind blown before the rain.
We got a great informative tour of:
– Hudson River
– Chelsea piers
– Pier 54 where the Titanic would have docked
– Leonardo DiCaprio’s house
– Holland Tunnel
– New Jersey
The Strand – 18 miles of books.
The Gutenberg Bible at the New York Public Library.
It was cold and rainy from about noon on so we kept searching for shelter at The Strand (my favorite book store), H&M, the New York Public Library and Plant Hollywood.
We were tired and worn out from being drowned rats plus the early morning.
Wednesday would be our biggest walking day yet so we needed a little down time and relaxed.
