Before I even picked up this book the hype was crazy. I was seeing it everywhere I went, so finally I just bit the bullet and bought a copy at Costco.
It took me awhile to wrap my head around the story and get into it, but I was determined to finish before seeing the movie to make a fair comparison. Now I wish I had spent more time focused on this book and it might have grabbed hold from the first page.
Being that it took me awhile to get into the story, I didn’t truly appreciate what I was reading until I got to the end and found how powerful this book really was.
Now, having seen the movie and read the book, I highly suggest book first, then movie awhile later. There are enough differences and the timeline varies, where the book is the better choice.

A better than typical movie adaption – I loved the book and thought they did a good job with the film.
