Yeah! So excited for today. I’m starting of really easy, just finished The Adventures of Harold and the Purple Crayon and will spending the morning on graphic novels.

I have to take up to a 4 hour break for my little cousin’s 8th birthday party, but I have an audiobook in the car so that will count as some.

I have a variety of books to choose from today:

A good mixture between library and TBR stack, a good chunk of these have been in the pile for awhile and I want to get them off.

To kick off, here’s the introductory survey:

1)Where are you reading from today? my house pretty much all day, starting in bed in the morning, the probably out to the living room for most of the day. i’ll spend a little time in my car with an audiobook as well

2)Three random facts about me… I have two cats (Fergie & Pantouffle), I just celebrated my 27th birthday, and my favorite color is pink!

3)How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours? I believe there is 24 books … scary … one for every hour maybe?

4)Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)? No goals set this year, just to read as much as I can, try to stay up the whole time, I said yesterday at work I would read 15 books (10 Nancy Drews, 3 graphic novels, and 2 others) so we shall see.

5)If you’re a veteran read-a-thoner, any advice for people doing this for the first time? I say pick easy books, quick reads and something that holds your attention, food and drinks quick and easy, and don’t be afraid to take breaks and blog or tweet or do something else if it gets you reenergized. In the late hours I often put on TV shows or movies that I know don’t require my attention to keep me company.

See you at hour 2.
