And so it begins … I have my pot of tea, laptop, fruit and lots a choices of background music.
There’s a great intro on the main site here that helps start off the mood.
Where are you reading from today? I’m starting in my cozy bed, probably move around the house throughout the day
3 facts about me …
- I have two cats will most likely harass me all day
- I’m ditching my friends having a girls night out tonight so I can read
- I love to read and watch movies at the same time
How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours? I believe I have 15 plus 4 currently in progress I may or may not read
Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)? I failed the past read-a-thon someone hosted and went to bed real early. I’d like to read the stack of Nancy Drew’s and maybe even one or two others if possible, plus make a valid attempt to stay awake the whole time.
If you’re a veteran read-a-thoner, Any advice for people doing this for the first time? Choose light books, if it’s not holding your attention change books, have snacks and drinks ready to go so you don’t spend time cooking, get up and moving every once inawhile even if you pace while reading.
Today I’m starting with The Hidden Staircase by Carolyn Keene
I went to bed early last time too! I am definitely going to stay up the whole time this time though even if I’m a zombie by the end. Happy reading!
