It’s been awhile since I participated in a mini-challenge, so I thought it was about time I chose one. The Lost Entwife is hosting this hour’s challenge about taking your favorite book and casting a character if it were made into a movie.
My first choices would be the Southern Vampire Mysteries and Stephanie Plum series, but one is already going as a TV show (and I love the actors chosen) and the other is in progress (not a fan yet of their main casting).
I think last year I talked about the Alex Cross series being turned in to movies, some already have and I especially liked Ashley Judd in them. And then there’s the Women’s Murder Club … I loved the TV show although short lived.
How do I find a book that I love that hasn’t already been made into a movie. It would be fun to see J.D. Robb’s In Death series turned into a movie – at least the first book. I’m never very good at picking actors for them but I think Angie Harmon does an amazing job as a strong female law enforcement lead (Women’s Murder Club) and would be a great fit for Eve Dallas (does Eve have brown hair, I can’t remember?).
Maybe even Sue Grafton’s Alphabet series – but I’m still working into that one and can’t quite picture the actors for it as of yet.
Well, you can cast Eve; I just posted for Roarke! What a team!
